The IWFL Board of Directors announced today it has taken positive steps to incorporate new opportunities for team owners to participate in league operations. The long-time requirement that Executive Council Members may not be directly affiliated with a current IWFL team has been removed so that more team owners can contribute to the success of league.
Along with this change the following IWFL members have been added to the Executive Council: Dana Sparling, Lisa Holewyn and Hiroko Jolley (plus one more pending offer).
In 2018, the board will call for a vote of confidence from all active Delegates that have completed a season (regardless of Tier) to select an Executive Director from these new council members. Freeing up the current Board Members to transition their focus from daily league operations to long term mission and organizational support projects. Watch for more on this in the coming weeks!
