IWFL Welcomes New Mexico Menace
by IWFL
October 12, 2007

Austin TX -The Independent Women's Football League is proud to announce that Anneke Blair, representing the New Mexico Menace, has been awarded a full membership license and will join the league’s roster of teams for the 2008 season.

“This group of players has been together for several years and they have developed a reputation over that time for showing real grace under pressure. That kind of commitment to the sport and to each other is impressive and will serve them well. I believe they will be a great addition to the IWFL Southwest,” stated Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer.

The New Mexico Menace features an experienced roster filled with dedicated women’s football players. The Menace will be placed in the IWFL Western Conference where they will face off against other southwestern teams like the Tucson Monsoon and California Quake.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to play football in the IWFL. We look forward to playing with some of the most competitive teams out there. This is a huge opportunity for all female athletes in New Mexico to live their dream of playing full contact football,” stated Anneke Blair, New Mexico Menace team owner.
