Austin TX -The Independent Women's Football League is proud to announce that the Chattanooga Locomotion have been awarded a full membership license and will join the league’s growing roster of teams for the 2009 season.

The Chattanooga Locomotion comes to the IWFL after completing eight successful seasons in their former league. The Locomotion will be placed in the IWFL Eastern Conference where they will face solid competition from some of the most exciting teams in the sport.

“This team is among the longest running in the sport. Their history for solid play and consistent quality on and off the field has served them well and we are proud to welcome them to the IWFL,” said Laurie Frederick, IWFL Chief Executive Officer.

“We are very excited about the move to the IWFL, and we are looking forward to the competition this league brings to the field," stated Chattanooga Locomotion team owner and IWFL delegate, Felicia Hudson.

The Chattanooga Locomotion is Chattanooga’s women’s tackle football team. Founded in 2001, the team has built a reputation for solid football and business longevity.
They have set their sights on earning an IWFL Championship title, but to get there they must first face some of the most successful women’s football teams in the sport today. The 2009 season is sure to bring Chattanooga fans some of the best game action they have seen, as the team faces off against old rivals and new challengers in the IWFL Eastern Conference.
