BANDITS HOLD FOOTBALL CLINIC FOR FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS by Sarah Henry May 24, 2010

On Thursday, May 6th, a number of Bay Area Bandits headed to the International School of the Peninsula elementary school in Palo Alto to host a football clinic for foreign
exchange students from China.
The children were still learning English, so it was through creative sign language and speaking slowly that the Bandits were able to bring the joys of football to children who had never even heard of the sport before. There were about 40 children total who rotated to different clinics to learn more about American culture, including baking pies and learning folk tales. The Bandits were proud to introduce them to such a big piece of our culture and had a great time doing it! |
